If what CI tells me is correct then these are long filler cigars and are made at the My Father factory in Nicaragua. I have smoked the 1989 Oscuro, the Special Selection Rosado and Oscuro, the Dominicano, and the Art Deco. I smoked the 1989 Oscuro back-to-back with a My Father Le Bijou and honestly could not tell much of a difference between the two. The 1989 burned flawlessly with a great draw. I would describe the flavor as slight cocoa with noticeable tannins. A bit one-dimensional throughout, but for the price what do you expect?

I had smoked one of these lately that i purchased from Issy at uptown cigar about 3 years ago and he said try this one, well i had this resting for 3 years now and i must say this was one great cigar, I would wait to smoke this cigar with some aging and then try. This cigar will surprize you with some aging.

i just opened this stick from a bundle sampler pack, since i never had this before i looked it up and wanted to read some reviews,,, i'm smoking it right now and agree 100% i noticed a peppery taste right away but no hint of coffee which would have been nice.. decent draw .. well packed and solid. definatley recommend this for a decent smoke at an ok price,

My previous experience with Padilla has been mostly disappointing, though that didn't stop me from ordering a Dominus 5-pack and Padilla 1932 Churchill, which is sitting in my humidor. I cannot yet comment on this cigar, though the above review is encouraging. I can say that I think the band looks rather garish and silly. That lion reminds me of The Wizard of Oz, or worse, the 18 Bengal tigers and 17 lions that were shot in OH after that nut let loose his private zoo. It is true that the band does not make (or break) the cigar. Me though, I prefer something simple.

Wow, THIS is a dark cigar! :-) I've never tried RPs so far, but I'd love to. They seem to be very popular in the US. In germany they are hard to find.

I was attracted to this cigar right from the top when I saw that elegant band. The construction and flavors did not disappoint--this is a very intriguing smoke. I can't quite put a finger on the fruit note either; I'll just have to smoke a few more and see if I can figure it out.

I like these things, I've had a few. Not as strong as they're made out to be, I've had a few things that are like a hand grenade going off in my mouth and I wouldn't include this among them. A nice full-bodied cigar. I like the sort of rawness that JdN's demonstrate in terms of construction. They aren't poorly made, they just look like they were crafted by artisans, rather than made with machine-line smoothness. Sorta gritty and toothy and I like that.

You must plan your next holiday to Amsterdam, it is actually worth the effort. Do you know the photographs? Did you hear what ever they launched at that place the other day? Thanks. Everyone who is at present trying to figure out why the best hometown on this planet is Amsterdam, then look at this webpage.
