A Little Background: Jesus Fuego is known for making some legendary cigars such as the Rocky Patel Vintage 1990 and 1992 but only recently began selling cigars under his own name. The two cigars you may have heard of in the past are the J. Fuego Delirium and the Grand Reserva Corojo No. 1. The 777 (pounced triple siete) Corojo cigar was released in summer of 2009 and was featured at this year’s IPCPR trade show in New Orleans. The wrapper is Corojo grown in Brazil by Jesus’ father. Brazil has been know for creating great Maduro wrappers but never before has Brazilian Corojo been used as wrapper on a cigar.
Aesthetics: The 777 Corojo by Jesus Fuego is a decent looking cigar. The wrapper is a silky smooth and has a fair amount of moderately sized veins. The construction looks to be good as the roll seams are cut evenly and there are no soft or hard spots in the cigar.
Smoking Characteristics: A nice even draw on the 777 Corojo that produces a good amount of smoke. The burn is very even and the ash is solid with no flowering or flaking. The body of the 777 Corojo is solidly planted in the medium category and the strength is average.
Flavor: The 777 Corojo starts off with rich, sweet, creamy flavors of caramel, nuts, orange peel and earth. As the cigar progresses the sweet flavors slowly transition to a dry woody flavor. This transition was much appreciated because the sweetness was slightly over the top for me. Other than that minor transition there isn’t much else to cover in the flavor department as the flavors were generally the same throughout.
Final Thoughts: Overall I did enjoy the 777 Corojo. It has good flavor, it was very smooth and performed very well. Although I was expecting a little more complexity from the Brazillian Corojo wrapper, for the price I am not going to complain. It’s a solid performing cigar that I think most cigar smokers would enjoy.

I read some good reviews on this stick.
I’m not a fan of Brazilian wrappers though..
