Cigar Review: Cuba Aliados Limited Miami Edition

Cuba Aliados Limited Miami Edition
Wrapper: Nicaraguan Habano
Binder: Dominican
Filler: Nicaraguan
Made In: Miami, FL
Size: 6×53 Toro
Price: About $9 per single

Appearance & Construction: The cigar has a classy looking red, gold and white band and a secondary band that states “Miami” which is where the cigar was rolled. Also there is a cedar sleeve that wraps the cigar which is always a nice touch. Construction is pretty solid; however in one of the cigars I had, the head was slightly lumpy and felt kind of uncomfortable in the mouth while smoking.

Smoking Characteristics: The draw was nice and loose with little resistance. The burn was slightly wavy, but still acceptable. The ash has some flowering but never made a mess. The body of the cigar was medium as well as the strength.

Flavors: This cigar starts out with some spicy woody flavors with notes of leather and coffee. The finish leaves a nice coating all over your mouth that is slightly peppery but very enjoyable. After the fist inch or so, everything seems to settle in and it’s a nice rich cedary flavor with a background of pepper. The cigar is not overly complex but the two flavors are so well balanced together and its very enjoyable

Final Thoughts: This is a very nice cigar. Although the flavors were not all that complex, they were so nice and rich and really had a nice balance to them. I’ve really never cared for many of Roland Reyes cigars but this one is a defiante winner in my book.

Thank you for taking the time to rate out cigar. We only roll about 300 of these a day, so it is indeed a special blend for us. They are available in 3 sizes: Robusto – $7 Toro – $8 and Churchill – $9. You won’t find a better bang for the buck cigar, made in Miami.
