Cigar Review: El Titan de Bronze Redemption

Cigar: El Titan de Bronze Redemption
Size: 6 ¾x38 Lancero
Wrapper: Ecuadorian Sun Grown Habano
Binder: Nicaraguan
Filler: Nicaraguan
Origin: Miami, FL USA
Price: $6.00 from the boys at Titletown Tobacco

Initial Thoughts: This is nice looking cigar in my book. This cigar has a rustic look with a pigtail cap and a classy, yet simple band. There is a secondary band that states “Sun Grown Habano,” which designates the wrapper of this cigar. The wrapper of this cigar makes it look very Cuban. What I mean by that is it has the stretched look by the veins that are typically found on Cuban cigars.

Flavor: The El Titan de Bronze Redemption has a nice sweet cedary core with notes of coffee bean, leather and the slightest bit of pepper. The flavors of this cigar are expertly balanced and are very harmonious. No one flavor steals the show and the flavors are so smooth and crisp. If this cigar was handed to me unbanded I would have probably said that this cigar is Cuban. The finish is slightly dry and the body of this cigar is in the low end of the medium spectrum.

Smoking Characteristics: The draw is fantastic on this cigar considering the small ring gauge of this lancero. The burn was slightly wavy and the ash was very flaky. It does good in this category but certainly nothing to brag about.

Final Thoughts: This cigar is very enjoyable; in fact I will be after a box of these. If you are looking for a Cuban-esqe flavor profile without breaking the bank this is it. The cigar so well balanced and the favors are nice and crisp, there is no doubt this was a fantastic cigar. To me this is a “WOW” cigar!

Worth a Try: Highly recommended, just don’t expect a full bodied cigar
Buy Again: Without a doubt, defiantly box worthy
Enjoyablility: Very High
Comparable Cigars: Illusione Epernay, Defiance by Xikar, The HC Collection Criollo
