Cigar Facts
Cigar: Liga Privada #9 by Drew Estates

Initial Thoughts: This cigar looks fantastic. The wrapper is a dark brown color with a slightly oily appearance and is complimented by a nice, yet simple looking white and grey band with black lettering. The cigar is solidly constructed and when I smoked one of these with a couple buddies of mine, one said “it’s built like a brick shit house.” This is a true work of art.

Flavors: This cigar is very complex and I had a heck of a time trying to write down all the subtleties of the cigar. The cigar has a sweet earthly leathery core with notes of espresso, mocha, pepper and a nutmeg flavor which seems to come and go. As the cigar progresses into the second third the spice mellows out quite a bit and the espresso and mocha become richer and more pronounced. The body of the cigar is full but is in no way overpowering. In all this cigar scores very well in this category.

Smoking Characteristics: Nice draw, even burn, solid ash, what more can you ask for?

Final Thoughts: There is no hiding this one, I loved this cigar. The construction and complexity of this cigar plant this bad boy in my top 25 possibly even top 15. The two gripes I have about the cigar is 1.) the cigar is not readily available and 2.) the band was a bitch to get off. Other than that this cigar was fan-freaking-tastic.

Worth a Try: If you can find it buy it, you won’t be disappointed
Buy it again: Yes definitely box worthy
Enjoyablity Scale: 9.6 out of 10

Adam, did you pick up this cigar localy? I would love to give this a try.
I also like the way you are adding the “similar cigar” section after your reviews, nicely done.

  3. adampaal says:

Nope I got these off the devil site. I wish someone would carry these locally.

Also, glad you like the similar cigar section, I really like it too. No matter how hard I try to explain the flavors, nothing compares to relating it to a cigar you may have smoked already.

Thanks for the comment love guys!
