Initial Thoughts: This cigar is made by Exclusive Cigars and they claim to be the fastest growing boutique cigar company. Exclusive Cigars was put on the map with their Kristoff line which I have enjoyed. This cigar is nice looking cigar that sports two bands, one in its normal spot and a secondary band at the foot. The lower portion of the cigar is wrapped in a nice cedar sleeve. The cigar has a nice oily sheen to it and is slightly lumpy with a few veins thought the wrapper.
Flavors: The core of the cigar is a tangy fruity, earthy sweetness with notes pepper and coffee. The finish is very cedary which must be from the cedar sleeve the cigar came in. At the midway point of the cigar the cigar turned to all earth and pepper and the sweetness faded into the sunset.
Smoking Characteristics: The draw starts out a bit snug and by the last half of the cigar I was forced to re-clip the cigar which opened the draw back up. The burn line was slightly wavy but still acceptable and the ash was nice and compact.
Final Thoughts: This is a decent cigar. I liked it but I didn’t love it. The flavors were off balance with the pepper and the cedary finish seemed to steal the show. It would be interesting to get one of these without that cedar sleeve to see if it changed the cigar but more than likely I will never know. This is one of those cigars I wanted to like, the price is right and I like the company that makes them but this cigar is just not me.

Similar Cigars: I’m going to say the Rocky Patel Sungrown but I actually enjoy the hell out of that cigar.
