Appearance & Construction: The La Aurora 107 Corona is a beauty of a cigar to stare at. The dark brown wrapper has a tint of red to it and is just oozing with oils. The cigar is very toothy and rough in texture but does have some larger veins on it. The construction seems solid so there shouldn’t be any problems with how this cigar smokes.
Smoking Characteristics: The La Aurora 107 has a nice smooth draw that produces a good amount of smoke. The burn of the cigar is razor sharp and very even. The ash is surprisingly strong for such a small ring gauge and holds on over the one inch mark.
Flavor: The La Aurora 107 starts off with nice complex and balanced flavors of wood, leather, and a sweet bready flavor that reminds me of the bread at Texas Roadhouse. The rest of the cigar is a roller coaster of the aforementioned flavors. One puff will be that sweet bready flavor, and the next will be leather and so on. The body of the La Aurora 107 is medium to full, while the strength is average.
Final Thoughts: The La Aurora 107 is a complex and well balanced smoke with a nice flavor profile to go along with. I had the chance to smoke this cigar in other sizes such as the Robusto and Torpedo, but the Corona really stands out from the rest of the line. La Aurora really did a fantastic job with this cigar and I think the cigar will do very well among cigar enthusiast.
Cigar Rating: Very Good
